Berkeley Girls Win 5 Straight

Berkeley Girls Win 5 Straight

13 February, 2015

Berkeley's U11 girls team won their 5th game in a row yesterday against the visiting Anglo team. The Berkeley girls looked larger and played with a superior tempo from the moment the game kicked off. Some stubborn defensive play and good goal keeping kept the game level until half time with both teams going close on goal at both ends of the field.

The second half saw Berkeley come out with some slight tactical changes and these worked wonders in breakdown the stubborn Anglo defense. Berkeley had a good round of substitutions and these led to a couple of break away chances which were converted into goals. The score stayed at 2-0 until near the last two minutes when some more great skills and individual performances created two more chances to finish up with the score 4-0.

We would like to all players from both teams for the excellent play and enthusiasm.

See you all again soon.
