Middle School- Pathways to Excellence
12-15 years
Berkeley’s Middle School program (Grades 6–8) is designed to nurture the whole child during a critical stage of growth. Beyond core academics, students engage in a rich and balanced schedule ensuring a well-rounded foundation that supports both cognitive and personal development.
Our Program
Our Middle School program is built on the belief that education should inspire students, spark curiosity, build character, and cultivate a sense of purpose. Grades 6–8 are a time of rapid development, and our approach to learning is thoughtfully designed to meet the unique academic, emotional, and social needs of early adolescents. With individualized attention, we help students build resilience, develop strong study habits, and grow into responsible, ethical learners. Our program encourages students to know themselves, explore their passions, and take pride in their progress
In small, supportive classes, students engage in a rich curriculum that includes language arts, math, science, social studies, Mandarin, Thai, physical education, art, technology, theater, and music. Outside the classroom, learning is brought to life through fieldwork, service opportunities, and overnight trips that connect students with the world around them. Annual social events and team-building activities foster a culture of belonging and community thus ensuring that every student feels seen, supported, and valued.
At Berkeley, middle school is more than preparation for high school, the goal is to create a transformative experience that motivates students to think deeply, act responsibly, and grow confidently as they prepare for High School.
